Logical Anarchy Today – Logical Anarchy Today Episode 206 – Imperfect Messengers for an Ethical Message

This year has seen a few “celebratarians” fall from grace because of their personal issues. I think there is a specific reason for this and I wanted to talk about it. We are advocates of an ethical ideology. Many of our arguments are moral arguments. And if we advocate for ethical virtues, we need to make sure our dirty laundry is always clean and that we are honest.

  1. This is one of my pet peeves, especially with the Church. If you really, truly believe what you espouse, then your life will reflect your words. Your words and your actions must match, otherwise I don’t believe a word that is coming out of your mouth.Either we believe to the very core of our being the principles of freedom and liberty we espouse or we do not. The true test comes when they are challenged and one is asked to put it all on the line.

As person that has been cheated on, the NAP was violated.

    • It’s true that none of us are perfect. We are all going to make mistakes. But here is the deal…own up to those mistakes. Acknowledge the mistakes. Say your wrong and where you went wrong. THEN, change your actions. Make sure once again that your words match your actions. We all want progress, but if you’re on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive. C. S. Lewis
